One alley, two names

From Stinksteeg to William Brewstersteeg

The alley called Stinksteeg in the Pilgrim years is now William Brewstersteeg. A testimony from 25 June 1609 places the Brewster household here; the later printing press is remembered by the plaque above the present entrance.
