There appeared before the undersigned aldermen Sir Pieter Buys, brick layer, living within this city, and he, having been duly sworn and examined under solemn oath, declared and affirmed it to be true that, according to his register and the authentic extract made therefrom on the 19th of December sixteen hundred and twelve by Ewout Henricxz Craen, notary within this city, there is still rightfully owing to him the appearer from Eduwaert Fauwler, Englishman living in The Hague, on account of stone delivered, by way of remaining balance, a sum of one hundred seventy-one guilders and thirteen stuivers, without his having received or profited from any payment thereon.
So truly might God Almighty help him the appearer. Done this 24th of December in the year sixteen hundred and twelve.
