Pineas Eduwaert, born of Sandwich in England, upon presentation of his father's citizen's act, dated the penultimate (second-to-last) day of July 1577 — his father being named Eduwaert Willemszoon van Steenwijck — has been accepted by the burgomasters as a citizen of this city. And he has accordingly taken the customary oath.

Done the 2nd of October, 1607.
