Zevenhuizen. Thomas Brewer, Englishman. Pieterskerkhof. 15-7-1630.

Sold by Jan van Kuyck, being authorised thereto, to Pieter Gerritszoon van der Spek, charged with an annual ground-rent [amount not legible in the source] in duiten, merchants' groats, accruing to the lord Van Poelgeest, etc. And delivered by voluntary decree of this court on 10-5-1640.

Pieter Gerritszoon van der Speck has purchased here from Stoffel Janszoon Ellis a small parcel of land lying behind this property, and has merged it herewith, for fifty guilders in ready money; and see, regarding the encumbrances, folio 2 following.

Translation by Radicae, The Leiden Connection, from the Dutch transcription supplied by Erfgoed Leiden. This is a property register entry; the exact figure for the annual ground-rent is unclear in the source text.
