The authorised representative of Roger Wilson is plaintiff in the case against Barent Dorman, who owes Wilson 5 guilders land tax and 31 cents for the purchase of rough cloth.
The same [attorney], authorised by Rogier Wilson, plaintiff, against Barent Dorman, defendant, for restitution of five guilders on account of two years' land tax (verponding) on the house purchased by the plaintiff from the defendant, for the years sixteen hundred and ten and eleven, at two guilders ten stuivers per year; and further for payment of thirty-one stuivers, the remainder of an account for baize, concluding for condemnation as aforesaid, with costs.
In the margin: In state [ready for judgment]. Done 15 December 1614. The attorney, on behalf of the defendant, consents to the claim, saving his right of recourse (acte van guarand) regarding the land tax against his seller, Altena, requested according to the acknowledgement and conclusion. The aldermen, having heard the parties, condemn the defendant in accordance with the presentation and arrest, together with costs at their taxation. Done 31 July 1615.
